A product of the Victorian pathway, 184cm Samason looked like a ready-made star in just her fourth elite game.
Eight teams from Australia compete in SSN including two Victorian teams: Melbourne Vixens (a Netball Victoria owned team) and Magpies Netball.
Another member of the national U19 squad, the 189cm defender is a training partner with the Giants' Super Netball outfit.
Goaler Rahni Samason has been ruled out of our Round 7 clash with the Magpies on Sunday. Rahni sustained a right knee injury on Wednesday.
With full pre-season training set to resume this coming Monday, the new agreement will see players normally paid below $61,007 (including super) receive JobKeeper payments, and players above this threshold to receive 70% of their salary, from 22 June until 30 September.
